Please read the following before booking.
Who are the workshops for?
The workshops are suitable for beginners and for people who would like the opportunity to refresh their lino-printing skills using the equipment available. You don't need to be a fantastic drawer or to have had any prior experience... You do need to be able to hold a sharp cutting tool safely and securely. The rest comes with guidance and practice, and that is what this workshop aims to provide. By the end of a workshop, you will have multiple copies of a lovely lino-reduction print image, each with up to four layers of ink. See the video at the bottom of this page for a peek at what other course attendees have done...

You will learn how to:
Throughout the workshop I will introduce you to the materials that you will be using (all supplied); and I'll tell you where you can buy them too. I'll also be showing you the tips and tricks I use in my work, to help you get the results you want to achieve.
What do you need to bring?
You will need to bring your flask and a packed lunch, a notebook, pencil, colouring pencils (or felt-tipped pens) and an A3 art-carrier to take your prints home in. You're advised to bring an apron (or wear old clothes). You may also bring your own simple design for your print, although there will be ready-made designs at the workshop for you to trace and adapt. I will contact you shortly before the workshop with more details.
I like to take photographs of people working during sessions. I do use them on my website and sometimes on social media. Do let me know if you would prefer that I didn't use photographs of your work, or with you in them, for this purpose. I will respect your wishes.
