Hi, I'm Vonnie. I'm a printmaker. 'Cogbeetle' is all about creative journeys and my passion for art and nature. I'm a member of the 'Artist
Collective' at Westbury Arts Centre in Milton Keynes. My work is very much inspired by the ever-changing spaces I see and experience around me. I have a
profound respect for the natural and historical world and for its conservation.
I produce lino prints using the lino-reduction technique; and collograph prints. I also paint and draw as inspiration for my printmaking. Always mindful of this beautiful planet we live on, I use environmentally friendly materials in the production of my work and in the cleaning up afterwards. My packaging is also compostable.
I produce work for exhibition, for sale; and I'm also available for commissions and teaching workshops in printmaking and design skills.
I graduated with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art and non-European (African, Melanesian, Chinese and Japanese) Art History at Birmingham School of Art in 1993 and went on to complete a Masters degree in Art & Design Education at De Montfort University in Leicester in 2001. I am CTLLS (Adult Education teaching) qualified (2007). I have worked and taught in higher and further education for most of my career; in curriculum delivery, media production/evaluation, distance learning, online learning, pedagogical research and adult education. When I'm not at Westbury, I work in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at The Open University.
